The perfume house DIVINE AROMA was created in 2019 in St. Petersburg, one of the most beautiful and inspiring cities of Russia. But the history of the brand began much earlier, when the founder of DIVINЕ AROMA, Petr Shelepov, took his first steps in the world of music.
It seems that the connection with music was predetermined by fate itself. Peter spent his childhood in an apartment on Fonarny Lane, where the outstanding composer, founder of Russian classical music М. I. Glinka once lived. Within these walls the outstanding operas "А Life for the Tsar" and "Ruslan and Lyudmila" were written, which were included in the golden fund of world opera. From the age of three, Peter learned to play the piano and accordion, took an active part in various concerts and went on tour to Europe. From one such trip he brought back а rare perfume with sweet notes of black currant. This perfume inspired Peter to compose his own musical piece - this is how the first experience of synthesis of sounds and aroma happened.

“Ever since I was a kid, I've been looking for beauty in everything that surrounded me. I remember at my grandmother's house on the dressing table there was an old crystal bottle of perfume which has been bought by my great-grandfather before the Russian revolution.
I loved turning it over in my hands and watching how the crystal shimmered from yellow to red and blue and I was fascinated by the play of shades. When I got older, I began to collect my own collection of unique fragrances and analyze their compositions and experiment putting together my perfume wardrobe for various events. It is like the process of composing music, there are only seven notes, but you can create countless melodies out of them.” – Petr Shelepov.

In 2019, a fateful meeting took place. Petr Shelepov met the Russian perfumer Kirill Shevchuk. On a friendly foundation, a full-fledged creative alliance was formed, which allowed him to make his childhood dream a reality and create his own perfume house.
Behind the seemingly straightforward interpretation of the name of our brand " DIVINE AROMA" there is a deep philosophical implication. It reminds us that man has a divine nature, a gift from the Creator and can transform the world around him in the image and likeness of his immortal beautiful soul.

The first home fragrance collection was launched in 2021 and is dedicated to Italian cities: romantic Venice, Rome, where the history of the great empire comes alive, Verona made famous by Shakespeare, the famous seaside resort of Palermo and other iconic places of the country. Petr Shelepov decided to start exactly with aroma-design of interior spaces rather than individual perfumes, having set himself the task of introducing the broad masses of people to the art of fragrances. And he chose the surest way to everyone's heart - the way through their beloved home.
The DIVINE AROMA team was inspired by a big trip to Italy, where each participant was able to personally feel the atmosphere of cities and then recreate this atmosphere in unique perfume compositions. The Italian collection is a tribute to the culture of sunny Ausonia, which gave Russia talented architects, sculptors, artists who created a unique architectural image of St. Petersburg.

The chief perfumer of the first collection was Melissa Hoffmann, a hereditary connoisseur of fragrances, a graduate of the famous Grasse Institute of Perfumery. Like music for Peter, perfumery for Melissa was a choice dictated by fate itself: her great-grandfather, grandfather and father chose the profession of perfumer, and they managed to make an invaluable contribution to the Grasse perfumery industry.
- The story of my acquaintance with Melissa is very romantic, - Peter shares his memories. - My team and I were traveling in Italy. Close friends of Kirill invited us to dinner at a villa somewhere in the vicinity of Lake Como. There was a grand piano in the living room, and while waiting for all the guests to gather, I played my first piece, the very one I had composed at school. I was so engrossed, I didn't even notice, that a woman I didn't know was watching my playing attentively, leaning on the piano lid. Kirill came up, introduced us to each other, told Melissa the story of my play. - I listened to your music as if I were inhaling a new fragrance and this fragrance completely enchanted me, - she shared. It was this chance meeting that became the beginning of the creative alliance between the founder of the perfume house DIVINE AROMA and his chief perfumer.

Over time, the first collection of interior diffusers was expanded with sprays for rooms and car interiors. The creative experiments of the DIVINE AROMA team continue, new fragrances are born, woven from inspiration and filling the hearts of their admirers with this inspiration.
DIVINE AROMA fragrances are not only quality products in the best traditions of the world perfume capital Grasse. These are the works of a special consolidated art with an incomprehensible Russian soul, which originated in Russia and can bloom lushly only in this fertile land. This is world aroma music, aroma painting and aroma literature in one bottle, drawing inspiration from the unique atmosphere of St. Petersburg as a socio-cultural phenomenon and quintessence of creative potential of the whole country.
